Metropolitan Airports Commission - CM

The End-User Computing Engineer is responsible for all aspects of a secure desktop infrastructure using technologies such as Windows 10, Citrix XenDesktop, Mobile Device Management, and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Primary Responsibilities include designing and implementing the PC build environments, engineering desktop solutions, and deploying SCCM packages for workstation components of technology projects.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, documents, and implements complex solutions for the end user computing systems.
  • Ensure deployment strategies, processes, and procedures are documented to standard
  • Engineer global automated Windows 10 PC Build environment using Microsoft SCCM Current Branch.
  • EUC Systems Management - Implement and update SCCM Current Branch infrastructure to provide optimal desktop mgmt. services.
  • Integrate SCCM with other desktop lifecycle infrastructure (ITIL, asset management, application catalog, etc.)
  • Provide highly available software distribution and patch mgmt. infrastructure including Windows 10/Office 365 Servicing.
  • Implement industry-accepted security baselines and provide compliance reporting
  • Support global deployment of Microsoft Office 365 to the cloud including Exchange, Sharepoint, Skype, Teams, etc.
  • Level III support of software distribution and software packaging
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of MAC’s client “Gold Image” Operating System images
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd Level client support as needed
  • Provide Mobile Device Management with Microsoft InTune Platform

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience is required.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with end user computing engineering and workstation deployment technology
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a technical troubleshooting role

Preferred Qualifications

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • ServiceNow change and incident management experience
  • Experience with Current Branch implementation and maintenance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and applications; Knowledge of Mac and Linux Operating Systems
  • Intermediate Powershell scripting knowledge
  • Experience with SQL queries and reporting

Skills and Knowledge

  • Software packaging and distribution methodologies
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
  • Requires Deep Technical Understanding of Windows 10 Operating System, Image Build, and Hardware Compatibility
  • Active Directory and Group Policy Management.
  • Experience with Citrix XenDesktop and VMWare View
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated expert end user computing engineering experience

Deliverables

  • Create EUC Hardware and Windows Operating System Standards for MAC organization
  • Engineer global automated Windows 10 PC Build environment using Microsoft SCCM Current Branch.
  • Create BYOD and Co-Management policies for Mobile Device Management with Microsoft InTune Platform
  • Provide engineering guidance for software packaging and distribution with Microsoft SCCM
  • Provide engineering support for the Hardware Refresh project for various MAC departments, which will be done in conjunction with Windows 7 to Windows 10 migration
  • Provide engineering support for the O365 migration, including Exchange Online, Skype for Business, Sharepoint Online, and OneDrive
  • Provide oversight and guidance for Application Packaging Processes within MAC
