Steve Jesok came and repeated a session he did at MMS in Miami about the 20 things he learned using CM in a large environment.

We had a good talk during and after the session too. Rob Hastings mentioned that SQL Server doesn't make use of any optimizer hotfixes from a CU unless you tell SQL to use it. Basically, set it like this:

ALTER DATABASE SCOPED CONFIGURATION
SET QUERY_OPTIMIZER_HOTFIXES = ON
