March Meeting

We have a great session lined up for this month’s MN System Center User Group on Thursday March 26th. We will split the night into two presentations by our own members. Again please use the link at the bottom to sign up for the event so we can properly plan. The pizza and beverages will arrive at 4:30 at the Microsoft Bloomington campus, directions are in the link.

Hope to see many people there so we can discuss what others are doing with imaging at their companies. If this topic is not your job function, but you know of someone that might be interested at your company, please forward the invite over.

Richard Zuraff from General Mills will share some of the insights he has learned with OSD in SCCM. Specifically he will cover:

  • Steps used in his Task Sequences
  • Integrating MDT into SCCM
  • USMT
  • Application and Driver installations

Manoj Shah and his colleges from Thompson Reuters will discuss how they have leveraged the OSD feature pack of SMS 2003 and BDD 2007 along with a customized front-end GUI for their workstation imaging process. He will cover:

  • The reasons this approach was taken
  • Overview of their Workstation Imaging process
  • Demo of the process / What happens behind the scenes
  • Future enhancements they would like to implement
