September Meeting

Hello everyone,

We have a special opportunity this month to welcome Sherry Kissinger (Wells Fargo, Microsoft MVP) to our user group. Sherry took over the old monster.mof years ago and has since become known as 'the' industry expert on SMS\SCCM inventory. As luck would have it she is in town next week and has offered to speak on ConfigMgr Hardware Inventory and customizing mof files. If you manage an SMS/SCCM site you will not want to miss this month as Sherry will deep dive into an area that has confused many of us.

Topics to be covered:

• sms_def.mof vs. configuration.mof
• Extending: WMI, Registry. HKCU issues
• TRUE vs. FALSE. How to figure out what you want changed to be FALSE (if default is true)
• One or two extensions; (local admin, McAfee/Symantec, Physical Memory)

If you've never been to a meeting we have a very open and welcoming atmosphere. Free pizza and beverages are provided usually around 4:30 and the meeting starts at 5:00 typically ending between 7:00-7:30. We meet at the Microsoft Bloomington Office.
