MNSCUG scores another nationally known speaker!

Our next MN System Center User Group meeting will be Wednesday, September 21st from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at Microsoft's Bloomington HQ.

We're proud to announce that Paul Thomsen, Solution Engineer for 1E will be our speaker! Odds are you already know who Paul is from attending one of his sessions at MMS or reading his blog. Paul has been the face of client health and monitoring for years with his work for Microsoft IT. Many of the startup health scripts used today came from Paul's early work in this area. But his range of experience over 15 years has earned him a respect in the community as a well-rounded, knowledgeable figure in IT in general. We plan to give him plenty of time to answer questions. On the agenda:

• The 1E perspective:

Paul Thomsen is a Solution Engineer at 1E. Previously he worked at Microsoft for 12 years, 8 of which were as a senior ConfigMgr Engineer for the teams serving Microsoft IT (275,000 clients) and others. In that role he most recently deployed beta ConfigMgr 2012 to 50,000 clients and lead the client health team, but Paul has expertise in many other ConfigMgr features. Prior to that he spent over 3 years as a technical writer on the SMS/ConfigMgr product team, and has long worked very closely with the ConfigMgr product team. Paul has been active in the ConfigMgr community for over 15 years, including blogging at myITforum.com, writing the SMS column for BackOffice magazine for 3 years, and contributing to several SMS/ConfigMgr books.
