The following is typical of the tasks that may be assigned to the analyst contractor(s) during this project:

  • Participate in the planning, development, and on-going enhancement of an enterprise-wide, business integration standards, technical integration standards, schemas, reference models, data model and plan collaboration with local stakeholders
  • Work closely with assigned project teams to define and communicate technical and business architecture direction, standards, policies, etc. consistent with the information technology (IT) and business strategic goals.
  • Promote application solutions that balance the requirements of individual applications against the business requirements and IT technical architecture.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of security, reliability, performance, and maintainability aspects of assigned applications.
  • Work with approved project teams to include detailed implementation activities and tasks in their project plans to properly deploy applications aligned with the IT technical architecture.
  • Develop and document department XML standards and exchange documents for interfacing systems and applications.
  • Assist in the change management processes of Global departmental XML standards.
  • Write reports, manuals, instructional bulletins and memoranda sufficient to clearly communicate technical subjects and standards to a diverse audience.
  • Be proactive and propose solutions to staff, as needed and within the scope of this project.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Core Experience Requirements At least 4 years of professional level experience in all of the following:

  1. Source Code Management and Administration
    • a. Experience with standard source control tools and concepts
    • b. Hands-on experience administering Software Configuration Management (SCM) tools, such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Rational Team Concert (RTC), ClearCase, Subversion, CVS, SourceSafe, etc.
    • c. Experience must include tasks such as creating new projects, team areas, code branches, merging, labeling, locking, etc.
  2. Build Automation and Deployment
    • a. Experience setting up streamlined, repeatable, automated builds and unit test runs on multiple technology platforms, using a variety of tools such as make, ant, nant, MSBuild, custom scripts, etc.
    • b. Experience setting up a highly automated on-demand deployment system, preferably with Anthill Pro.
    • c. Experience using scripting for deployment purposes (beanshell/groovy, bash, csh, perl, etc.)
    • d. Experience working in a multiple-environment setting supporting parallel development, integration and testing
  3. Tool Expertise
    • a. Hands-on experience administering and integrating Configuration Management (CM) and bug-tracking/testing tools such as ClearQuest, Quality Center, Service Desk Express/Magic, BugZilla, and Fortify.
    • b. Hands-on experience administering and integrating requirements tracking tools such as Rational Requisite Pro
    • c. Experience with software security testing tools such as Fortify
    • d. Strong experience customizing and integrating multiple SCM, change control products and related products
