REQUIREMENTS:

Task list for System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM2007) Migration Contractor
The requirement is to migrate a primary server and 8 secondary site servers running MS Server2003 from SMS2003R2 to SCCM2007R1. The database move and upgrade to SQL2005 Enterprise is complete and in production.

Deliverables:
Fully documented and tested SCCM2007 configuration, upgrade path, package deployment and successful SCCM2007 upgrade.
Testing remaining, packaging and programming: (80 hours)
1. Test, verify and document the following:
a. SCCM2007 Server and clients in lab environment. Already migrated.
i. SCCM server configuration settings
b. A subset of packages, collections, advertisements in the lab to gain confidence in package migration
c. Admin console security - WrkstnAdmins, SMSAdmins, the console is already packaged
d. The collection adder in SCCM2007, already packaged
e. Upgrade to SCCM client works.
i. Deployment - Define method: Query?, Push install package, right click, whatever (Verify successful push install with a right click)
ii. Software re-distribution (server path) Run Advertised Programs on client
iii. Hardware/Software inventory
f. Reporting and reporting website is functional (very few custom reports)
g. PCC.bat works (PCC is an in house VB6 application for Technicians to install packages via SMS - In house help will be needed to modify)
i. Modify PCC.bat to remove MOF comp and execute a different command for agent installation
ii. Run on clean machine to test
1. Installing agent
2. Deploying application
3. Verify this process is fast enough for technicians
Migration from SMS2003 to SCCM2007: (80 hours)
1. Pre upgrade configuration in Production
a. Create a contingency plan for all parties and time frames
b. Remove the Feature Packs (like PDAs) from the Primary site.
c. Remove the parent site to central site relationship, remove Central Site, and remove SQL2000 from site. We never used any of it.
d. We need to extend the AD Schema (in house help needed)
e. SMS client agent code - Update the code for the agent install
f. Admin console code needs to be updated for everyone.
i. The package for SCCM console deployment is done
ii. Update any source locations where the console is
iii. The Collection adder package complete - needs to be distributed with the console
iv. Training for the technicians and software distribution administrator
g. Define the new SCCM site settings - Come up with standards
i. Wake on LAN will need to be explained and OFF
ii. Conflicting records in SiteProps needs to investigated

Upgrade Production to SCCM2007
1. Upgrade production and smoke test (40 hours)
a. Primary site first
b. Hutchinson secondary site servers (2) next
c. Verify the Custom Reports come across after upgrade
d. Secondary offsite servers (6)
e. Upgrade client agents
