SCCM Infrastructure Engineer

Overall we are looking for a Sr. Engineer with SCCM infrastructure experience. We have received a lot of candidates with experience packaging and deploying software using SCCM, but what we really need is someone who has infrastructure experience managing, troubleshooting and remediating the SCCM infrastructure components.

Write, develop and unit test software and participates with design or build, test and implement infrastructure components that meet the needs of the design specifications. Identifies and escalates issues that impact project performance. Adheres to standards and best practices, processes, and deliverables. Participates in physical design and development of software or hardware products. Communication & Relationship Mgmt.
Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approaches in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs as required by your domain. Has in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art engineering technical approaches in design, build, testing, debugging problems as required by domain. (Infrastructure). Maintains deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise. Possesses a strong understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces and control languages.

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of SCCM/SMS experience, including infrastructure setup and support
• 3+ years administering a large SCCM infrastructure (i.e. greater than 100 total sites)
• 10+ years of IT Systems Administration on Windows
• Fluent in scripting (Vbscript or Powershell)
• 5+ years of IT Systems Administration on Windows
• Strong analytical skills, Strong Troubleshooting skills, problem solving skill and ability to drive
• problem to resolution
• Strong Organizational skills and detail-oriented; self-directed and works independently
• Demonstrates initiative and follow-through

Desired Skills:

• Basic network knowledge, including firewall, network trace and network protocols
• Experience with SQL query. Basic database administration a plus
• Process improvement/automation using scripts
• Understanding server virtualization technologies
• Ability to be proactive to troubleshoot and resolve the issues
• Excellent communication skills, and a focus of customer needs
